Celebrating "Oktoberfest" at Ciudad Patricia

Activity | 09.10.2024
Ciudad Patricia Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest began in 1810 in Munich, Germany, to celebrate the marriage of Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese. The event grew into an annual festival featuring beer, music, and Bavarian traditions. Today, it’s celebrated worldwide as a symbol of German culture, bringing people together to enjoy festive beer gardens, traditional foods, and vibrant music, transcending borders with its lively, communal spirit.

This year, Ciudad Patricia organized the Oktoberfest for its residents for the first time. The festival, mainly known as a beer-drinking celebration, for us was about being together and sharing a bit of each other's culture. Of course, beer was an essential part of the event. The glasses were generously filled by our ladies dressed in dirndls: Nadine, Jayne, and Kyra. Naturally, the typical German snacks were also present, ranging from various types of sausages to sauerkraut and pretzels. To top it off, Duo Ipanema, also dressed in lederhosen and dirndls, sang some typical German hits and, of course, our favorite song: Sweet Caroline. We had a great time!
