Norman and Margo's Story

| 12.01.2021

We often ask our residents about how they came to live at Ciudad Patricia. This is Noman and Margo's story. What makes it somewhat poignant is that they decided to move to Ciudad Patricia during the Covid-19 restrictions. This presented its own challenges in order to respect all the requirements of Covid: distancing, quarantine, etc.

We're delighted they have decided to make Ciudad Patricia their home. Here is their story in their own words.

"We moved here on 8th September. We had to wait as the lock down held us up. Amanda helped and advised us all the way through the process. Amanda kept us informed with all the little jobs that we wanted done. We had regular video calls so we could see the progress step by step when the little extras were done.

Since moving here from Morcombe we have been made to feel safe and have met so many friendly people and made new friends. Nothing is too much trouble for Amanda and all the caretakers and staff at Ciudad Patricia. We have also met with the onsite Doctor who carried out a medical check up once we had settled in. We were also introduced to our friendly and hard working caretaker and gardener who looks after and maintains the lovely gardens at Hortensia.

We are so glad we came and recommend it to all who want Peace of Mind."

We never forget that moving to Ciudad Patricia is so much more than finding an apartment. It's about independent living in your senior years, with a medical safety net, making new friends, not being lonely, and as Norman and Margot put it: Peace of Mind.
